PROJECT SUPPORT ENGINEER - REFRIGERATION & HVAC - KILDARE
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client design / install and service portable freezer rooms for the
food retail and pharma/biotech sectors.
To support the sales and management team
Assist with projects process flow
Establish a good working relationship with the sales team, attending
customer sites where necessary for technical advise, site surveys or
pre-installation meetings, to achieve customer solutions.
Equipment Selections on projects after considering initial cost,
running costs and secondary life usage.
Supervision of installs ensuring H&S adhered to at all times, costs
are monitored and any non standard requests are captured, agreed and
charged if applicable.
Project specifications completed to ensure operational performance as
required.
Gathering quotes from third parties for projects, ensuring we get the
best value, while also ensuring the materials or supplies are fit for
purpose.
Good communication systems both internally and with asset suppliers on
system specification / design before, during and at post installation
de-brief.
Produce Technical Drawings (AutoCAD)
Efficient Management of refrigeration installations on projects to
satisfy Company, customer and suppliers.
A post installation visit on each new project within 6 – 9 months to
monitor performance and service delivery.
Create Handover Packs for projects
Documentation of system proposals and with customer training as
appropriate.
Other duties and special projects as required by the Managing
Director
Ensure compliance with group authorization policies
Awareness and overview of all IT systems and procedures and changes
thereto
Ensure all processes under your supervision are safe and does not pose
any risk to personnel or to the business.
Advise managers of any risk to business in terms of health & safety,
reputation or costs.
Consider whether to use in house team or third or third party agents
for installations.
In liaison with the Service Engineers maintain an up to date knowledge
of all technical and legal aspects in respect of refrigeration
matters.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
City & Guilds Refrigeration & Air Conditioning qualification
Autocad Programming
City & Guilds Building Services
Analytical mindset, with an excellent attention to detail
Excel skills are an advantage
Excellent forward thinker
Self-motivated individual, with a strong desire to develop the
business
Strong communication skills, with the ability to deal with issues on
site if required.
Rapidly build cross-functional relationships, quickly building trust
and credibility across the business.
Engage with business leaders to ensure clear and transparent
communication and project awareness at all times.
